Police Updates – PC Madden informed the meeting that there had been a decrease in burglaries since the last reported period (22/03/2018). Work was undertaken alongside CID undercover officers working in the area. Burglaries are a result of cross border activity. Neighbourhood policing teams are active between 4pm to 4am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ever week.

Local Plan Update – Latest figures for Calderdale project that 1125 new houses will need to be built each year, over the next 15 years. This has now resulted in approximately 700 new developments are required in the Northowram/Shelf area over this 15 year period. Originally 304 new houses were destined to be built in Shelf and 161 in Northowram over the 15 year period. Potential sites that were taken out of the plan for Northowram and Shelf will now be put back in to the plan.

Friends Of Shibden Park – Reported that a major project to provide climbing facilities within the park will no longer be achievable due to the high cost of funding.
