New Heywood Church History Book For Sale Now
This new booklet is an updated re-print from an earlier history of Heywood United Reform Church, Northowram, written by Leslie Brayshaw. The original text was written to commemorate the erection of Oliver Heywood’s original Chapel building in 1688 and published as a small booklet in 1988.
This new booklet contains 32 pages and is now illustrated with images mostly in colour throughout. It contains a full history of the church and its many artefacts including the existing pulpit that Oliver Heywood used for preaching to the non-conformist congregation in the late seventeenth century. Also included are histories of the houses in the village of Northowram that are situated near the church.
